It is hard to believe that it has been 18 years since the planning began for the first MUEVETE conference. MUEVETE sparked so much for so many of us and we find it incredibly important to reunite those who were part of a unique community that developed through the work that was done organizing this conference and its subsequent projects. Aside from it being an opportunity to once again see our fellow organizers and friends, we are also using this as moment to document the history of what MUEVETE accomplished as well as the challenges that as young organizers we faced during that era.

The reunion is hosted by a group of former organizers who gathered at the memorial service for our MUEVETE brother Daniel "Bolivar" Mejia. We will use this an opportunity to honor his memory and that of all of us who, together, influenced change and established profound friendships with amazing people. Daniel was full of life and energy and had we planned this reunion a few months ago, he would have been the first one there.

We hope you can join us in body and spirit, but if you cannot physically attend, look out for future opportunities to stay connected and get involved.
